La commune de Steinfort, ensemble avec l’Entente des sociétés, vous invite à la Veille de la fête du 1er mai pour rendre hommage au riche héritage sidérurgique de notre commune ainsi qu’au courageux engagement des travailleur.euse.s en faveur de l’amélioration des conditions de travail.

Le cortège, accompagné par la Stengeforter Musek, ira jusqu’à la Maison communal pour l’installation de la couronne du 1er mai et le discours officiel du bourgmestre. Il poursuivra ensuite son chemin jusqu’à la sculpture du haut-fourneau, où sera inaugurée une plaquette commémorative en l’honneur des travailleurs sidérurgiques. La soirée se poursuivra au centre culturel Al Schmelz, où vous pourrez découvrir une exposition photographique dédiée aux travailleurs, mise à disposition par le Syndicat d’Initiative. La commune offrira le vin d’honneur, et l’Entente des Sociétés assurera les grillades.

The Steinfort Municipality, together with the Entente des sociétés, invites you to the Eve of 1st May Celebration to pay tribute to our municipality’s rich steelmaking heritage and to the courageous commitment of workers to improve working conditions.

The procession, accompanied by the Stengeforter Musek, will go towards the town hall for the installation of the 1st May wreath and the official speech by the mayor. It will then continue to the blast furnace sculpture, where a commemorative plaque will be unveiled in honor of our steelworkers. The evening will continue at the Al Schmelz Cultural Center, where you can visit a photography exhibition dedicated to steal workers, provided by the Syndicat d’Initiative. The municipality will offer the vin d’honneur, and the Entente des Sociétés will handle the barbecue.
